Stayed in Bushmans Hut
What a great little cabin and a fantastic setting in the bush. No noise from neighbours and infact hardly saw anyone although the place was fully booked.
The cabin was the smallest available but had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. As we were out all day every day and only spent sleeping hours at the cabin the compact size did not matter. Ideally located 150 mtrs from the transit station and a very short drive to the Cradle Mtn Tavern. We definitely must stay there again. Thanks to Sharon & Ian who were great hosts.

Stayed in Currawong Cabin
This cottage was a rustic gem amidst wet bush. Everything necessary lay within. But the short walks I was able to do safely with a walking stick made the visit really magic. Because one of our group had a birthday first night, we dined out at a nearby venue. I would recommend this accomodation to anyone who appreciates nature. I hadn't been to stay at Cradle Mountain for over 50 years when staying on a bunk bed in one of several grey weathered huts. CONGRATULATIONS.I would rate this experience at least 4 1/2 stars.

Stayed in Stringybark Cabin
We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service, fantastic accomodation and warm and friendly service. To come in to the cabin and have a warm fire burning, beds warming and spotless surroundings was just overwhelming. Having possums gather on the proch, you couldn't get any closer to nature if you tired. We feel your website does not do it justice. An outstanding visit. Thank you. We will be back!

2 wonderfuld ays in this delightful cabin, 2 superb days of fabulous weather we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay in Cradle Mountain. 2 excellent hosts who added a friendly and welcoming aspect to our stay. We'll be very happy to recommend "Highlanders" to visitors from WA. Thank you

What could be different? Hong Kong summer to Tasmanian winter. Very cosy, well appointed cabin. How nice to drink the water straight from the tap. Good to meet Tasmania wildlife up close. We'll come again.

We are only able to stay for one night, but what a night to remember!! The fantastic cottage with roaring fire and snow falling gently outside inspired my parnter to propose to me, and so we are now engaged!! We will forever remember this small, quaint and beautiful cottage as the beginning of our new life together, and hope to return here on our honeymoon. Thank you

Stayed in Wombat Cabin
This is our second visit to Higlanders, The first time we staying in Pademelon cabin for 1 night only. I prayed for snow but to no luck. Saw snow on very tup of Cradle Mtn though. This time round we awoke on our first morning to a winter wonderland. How beautiful. It snowed all day. We spend our day in this beautiful cottage with the lovely fireplace. Went up to the mountain which was spectacular - covered in snow. Too cold and wet to do much walking but we did a small walk. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. The people are so friendly and kind and cannot do enough for you. We see you all again another time. Devils@cradle is a must as well. And the widlife - wombats, pademelon and possums just completed a wonderful few days.

The wombat isn't really fat, don't spread that tale about
What a happy face and shortish legs, I'd reather call him stout.
You see, he's built for burrowing for tunnelling in the ground.
and when your buidling tunnels, its best to just be round
But when unwelcome visitors come sniffing his door,
He plugs the entrace with his bum, the tunnel is no more.

Stayed in Tallow-wood Cabin
We stayed in the Tallow Wood Cabin in late May it was great....very cosy and extremely warm once the fire had been lit.We had the Winter Special which included a fabulous gourmet fruit/cheese wine platter and the breakfast provisions were excellent also. Great size bathroom(we had a spa suite) and the bed was very comfortable. Cabins are spaced apart from each other very well. Had a possum on our windowsill one night. The Managers Ian and Sharon were great also. Wld definitely stay there again.

We stay in Lanceolata for 4 nights. It was very nice and my family enjoyed the warmth that the fire brought to us. We wish we could stay longer
