Magnificent setting. Love the cabin. Cosy retreat. Have had a possum on the window for the past 1/2 hour. He wont let us outside. He wants in. One of the best places we have ever stayed.

We spend 2 great days at this lovely place and cabin, it's very cosy with the fire on. We were lucky with the weather. Walked around Dove Lake this morning and took great pictures of Cradle Mountain. The lake was all peaceful. But now we have to travel on our last week of 4, we reserved for beautiful Tasmania. Thanks.

We have enjoyed the beautiful surrounds of Cradle Mountain & coming back to a secluded, peaceful & warm cabin such as this made the icy winds & non stop rain worth the trip.

A really nice and comfortable break. Wombats wonderful, quality quolls and prestigious possums. Even got mugged by a Currawong. We will try and come back in the snow.

Stormy weather, wild winds. Dinner time a black bird sought refuge on the porch. Cosy home.

On day one the weather was great so we did the Dove Lake circuit. Cradle Mountain was spectacular. Day two- up to Marions Lookout. We beat the clouds. Every walk has been interesting- a variety of scenery and plants. We went for a short drive at night to find the "locals"- one Tasmanian Devil, two womtats and various wallabies of all shapes and sizes. We were very impressed with the "cube-dropping" wombats. The view from Marions Lookout was worth the effort. Enjoyed it so much I did it twice - I'd left my video camera at the saddle.

It has been the most relaxing stay ever. The weather has been delicious- cold and wet. Can't do much but RELAX. Six wallabies last night, possums on the roof (I'm sure they were dancing or was it racing!) The kids could stay here for ever. It wouldn't be too hard at all. Woke to rain this morning. found it very hard to get out of bed for 10 AM check out. Sounds so nice with rain on the tin roof. Cozy in our bed and warm little cottage. We didn't want to leave. We will be back for 2-3 nights next time. Thanks guys Perrrrfection!

We have had an absolutely fantastic starting week to our honeymoon. The weather - 4 seasons in one week. We've seen it all. Marions Lookout is fantastic - snow everywhere, not a cloud in the sky (almost), no wind and very few people. Where did everyone go? Probably to the casinos in Wueenstown NZ. They can have it. Whilst this area is uniquely Tazmania, it reminds us of Queenstown NZ before it was ruined by rampant commercialisation. Keep it this way. The location, Kate & Kim's hospitality and cabins have been "top knotch". Thank you. Do you provide discounts to permanent residents?
