Lovely relaxing night spent in this extremely cosy cabin. Have walked the Dove Lake Circuit. Highly recommend the helicopter flight to see the snow capped cradle mountains. Had many visitors - 1 very large possum with baby on her back plus 4 other possums. 4 Pademelons paid us a visit. 2 Currawongs also flew in demanding food. All critters were very tame and appear to be well fed. Log fire very comfy. Had a wonderful time. Thank you for having such homely accommodation available.

What a magical little cabin. The best we've stayed in on our tour of Tasmania. We will be back hopefully.

We loved the cabin and its cosy shelter from wind and rain when we arrived. It was the perfect spot to hibernate and hope for sunshine. Fortunately we awoke to a beautiful day so had clear views of cradle mountain from the Dove lake walk. We feel very lucky. We left the curtins open and sure enough we were visited by the fat & fluffy possum in the evenings. What a lovely experience for our family. Thanks for your hospitality.

What a honeymoon destination! We chose 10 days in Tassie but unfortunately only 2 night here. We loved everything about it. First day it was a snow wonderland complete with light snowfall. Today we had fun taking in the beautiful scenery and wildlife. We spotted 22 wombats and managed to pat 2 of them. One grumpy one outside the Cradle Mountain shop head butted Richard and nipped his leg when he didn't surrender favourite territory quickly enough. We also loved the wildlife around the cabin - one large wombat, 6 passums that wanted to come inside and even a potero. The log fire kept us cosy and completed the log cabin/rustic ambiance. I hope we will be back in future for many anniversaries.

Amazing setting - totally loved the cabin, it was perfect for us honeymooners. Cradle Mountain was spectacular = we really enjoyed walking in the fresh air in the morning and then hanging out in front of the fire in the afternoon. Thank you for providing us with our perfect honeymoon setting. We are looking forward to coming back one day and will certainly recommend highlanders to all our friends.

We will definitely not forget our stay at Cradle Mountain for a long long time! Apart from the absolutely wnderful accommodation, breath taking scenery, cute little possums etc, after 6 1/2 years my boyfriend finally proposed right here in "Currawong" cabin out on the deck in the freezing cold! As if i wasn't already having a great time, that has made my whole holday. Must be the mountain air!
