Stayed in Pademelon Cabin
Who would want to stay in a fancy resort with spa's, restaurant etc when you can stay in a delightful cabin in fantastic surrounds like this? We came here from WA to enjoy the environment, the trees, the animals and the weather and this cabin is "just right". Are all Tasmanians as friendly helpful and hospitable as the hosts and their associates running the complex? best wishes

Stayed in Wombat Cabin
Dennis Maxwell has been bringing people to Cradle Mountain for 45 years and at 75 years of age he brought us here today to Wombat Cottage as part of our father & son journey across the overland track. These cottages are in keeping with Gustar Weinhoffers Waldeim vision for appropriate accommodation in this very fragile national park. They are comfortable, clean and sit easily in their environment. We have heavy packs and only our own to feet "the flat - foot express" to take us the 80kms to Lake St Clair. We enjoyed the pademelon welcoming party

The best cottage we've stayed in so far on our 2 week tour of Tassie. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere with all the animals around the cottage. Our little boy loved every minute of his stay especially the echidna and the pademelons. Thanks for the very friendly service and the first fire for this year. Tassie Rocks!!!

Perfect finish to our amazing Tassie holiday. Thanks for your great accomodation, very romantic and cosy. What a location and the view - superb! Your website just doesn't do this lovely place any justice. Glad we couldn't get into our original choice for accomodation at cradle mountain. We will be back if we can. Best place by far!

It was a pleasure to stay at this lovely cottage. What a wonderful area, no wonder so many people come here. The weather is great today. I'd like to especially mention the service we received from reception above and beyond their duty. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.

What a lovely little cabin! Exceeded our expectations - the website does not do it justice. And the surroundings are indescribable. We were greeted by our own pair of creatures in back of the cabin. Beautiful weather, perfect visit.

Lovely evening staying at the most character-filled hut in the place! just watched a wombat waddle past and spotted lots of other animals (and snakes) pasta on the hob and a beer in the fridge, you'll need to excuse us.

We are in love with this place! Highlanders is a fantastic set-up, coming back to a fire after long days walking was the icing on the cake. What a shame we have to leave!!
