Stayed in Wombat Cabin
This has been our 6th year at Highlander cottages and our first year anniversary! Once again, the majestic mountain and wonderufl, warm, cosy & welcoming cottages did not disappoint. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay, loved the cottage and this year we were fortunate enough to see the mountain (& surrounds) covered in snow. Very exciting!! We were engaged and married here @ cradle mountain and we will be back every year to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you very much!

Staying here on our first night in Tasmania is possibly a bit unfair to the rest of our trip[s accommodation. How do you beat perfect? We will return

What a wonderful place to stay! Went in June of 2008, and wished we were still there! The Bushman's cabin is fantastic for two... perfect, in fact. Warm, Cosy and practical... Will be back.... AGAIN!

Stayed in Bushmans Hut
We stayed in Bushmans Hut in February 2009 and thought it one of the nicest places we had stayed in while in Tasmania. Cute and compact but with everything we needed. The cabins were nicely scattered in the bush so that you weren't in a row, lots of animals were around at night as we'd hoped and the breakfast basket was great.

Stayed in Wombat Cabin
Night time visits from wombats and possums Day time walks amid apline blossoms Mountains and lakes, Flora and fauna breathtaking views round every corner It may rain, the wind might blow The sun will shine, it could even snow Whatever the weather, when you're newar Dove Lake Make sure you look out for a black tigert snake Here, tiger snakes are black as night To us this simply isn't right A tiger's stipey as can be Can you explain this mystery? Wombats muching at Ronny Creek Under the boardwalk playing hide and seek And at the day with tired feet It's heaven to return to this rustic retreat!

Stayed in Currawong Cabin
We had a wonderful time staying at Highlanders. Our 2 bedroom cabin was great with all the facilities we needed. The resident animals were very friendly, in fact we nearly had them in our cabin!!! Wonderful experience. We will be back.

Stayed in Snowgum Cabin
Snowgum it is a once (hopefully not) in a lifetime experience and I've waited 70 years for it!We have loved every minute of our time here and also in the Cradle Mountain National Park. We were lucky with blue skies and hot sunshine for all our time here but can imagine how remote this area must be in winter. However Snowgum was a most welcoming late Christmas present from our daughter in Sydney - the best present for a long time that was worth waiting for! We will treasure our memories of this peaceful awe inspiring place for the rest of our lives. Finally the breakfast basket was marvellous.

Stayed in Snowgum Cabin
What a wonderful cabin, never thought we would be having a log fire in the Tasmanian summer! Watched the resident wallaby and 2 pademelons whilst playing scrabble. Saw a curled up Tiger Snake on our walk around Dove Lake. Wish we could have stayed another night in Snowgum. The spa bath and heated floor bathroom were great. Thanks for a perfect stay

Stayed in Telopea Cabin
Don't really know the date - have been on honeymoon for 1 week and a bit out of whack with time etc. Loved it @ Telopea - Sharon and Ian were very good hosts and only people so far who have gone out of their way to congratulate us on our wedding - much better than a couple of very swish 5 star hotels. Flew over Cradle Mountain on helicopter. Glad i did it, somewthing i will probably never do again. The devils @ cradle were amazing. Too short a stay but we will be back one day i hope. Thank you Sharon and Ian

Great place to stay, so close to Cradle Mountain walked to Marions Lookout, saw wombats, platypus and pademelons. What more could you ask for.
