Wonderful accommodation - lovely people with us - generous hospitality - beautiful scenery. Dove lake - crater lake great walks. Rain improved the experience.

Fantastic cottage and location. We had visits from the Pademelon and her baby, a possum, currawong and the wombat. Everything in the cabin is superb and the Managers are great. Looking at coming back in July so hopefully we will get some snow.

We have enjoyed ourselves enormously during our time here at Highlanders. Thank you for providing such lovely, comfortable and peaceful accommodation. Two Pademelons paid us a visit, also the hook-billed crow (or similar) and best of all an up close and personal visit with an echidna. In the national park of course there were wombats, wallabies etc and the devils and quolls at the devils@cradle were worth the visit. We walked the Dove Lake Circuit then the Cradle Mountain Summit which was a long, tiring day, but the views and accomplishment were well worth the effort and sore feet. We hope to come back with family and friends, thanks again

What a great place. We were very impressed with the friendly greeting at reception when we checked in. The cabin is great especially the fire. Only wished we could have stayed longer. We will certainly tell our family and friends of this wonderful place. PS. The red wine wasn't too bad either!

We had a wonderful stay in this clean, cozy, peaceful cabin. The kitchen and bathroom amenities were perfect and we had a lovely nights sleep. My favourite thing was seeing the incredibly bright stars at night!!! All the best

Hanson's peak and hanson's lake was named after my great grandfather William Nicolson Hanson's son bert hanson. I have been to cradle mountain a few times.

Stayed in Snowgum Cabin
The perfect getaway for our engagement celebrations. Snowgum is by far the most impressive little hidewaway i have seen. Everything about SNOWGUM is flawless! This has been the most memorable experience thanks to this wonderful and magical little place. We have had an amazing time, just sitting by the fire, chatting away, watching DVDs (which rarely/never happens at home) and relaxing in the spa. Basically we don't want to go home. So we have decided to come back for another special occasion to celebrate another chapter for our lives. Thank you for making our weekend so special

I should have been born in Tasmania!! I love all the timber. This little cabin is awesome. Very comfortable and well equipt. We had an awesome walk yesterday up to the kitchen hut trudging through thick snow in a few places. Spectacular views all over the place. We have seen wombats, wallabies, pademelons, possums AND last night we had a visit from a quoll. Just like the ones in the pictures above the bed. What a privilege to see one of these beautiful animals.
